Kings 6

And it was, in the eightieth and the four hundredth year of the coming··out of the sons of Israel out of the land of Egypt, in the fourth year of Solomon’s reign over Israel, in the month Ziv, which is the second month, that he built the house to Jehovah.
And the house which King Solomon built for Jehovah, sixty cubits was the length of it, and twenty the breadth of it, and thirty cubits the height of it.
And the porch before the temple of the house, twenty cubits was its length, before the breadth of the house; ten cubits was its breadth before the house.
And for the house he made windows looking··out which shut.
And against the wall of the house he built stories all around, against the walls of the house all around, for the temple and for the oracle; and he made side-chambers1 all around.
The lowest story was five cubits in its breadth; and the middle story was six cubits in its breadth, and the third story was seven cubits in its breadth; for he put offsets for the house all around on the outside, that there might be no grasping onto the walls of the house.
And the house in its building was built of whole stone as carried; and hammers and the axe, and every tool2 of iron were not heard in the house in the building of it.
The entrance of the middle side-chamber was to the right wing of the house; and they went··up by winding··stairs onto the middle story, and from the middle to the third.
And he built the house and completed it; and he paneled the house with slats and planking of cedar.
And he built the stories against all the house, five cubits the height thereof; and they grasped the house with the wood of cedar.
And the word of Jehovah was unto Solomon, saying,
As to this house which thou art building, if thou wilt walk in My statutes and do My judgments, and keep all My commandments, to walk in them, then will I raise··up My word with thee, which I spoke to David thy father.
And I will abide in the midst of the sons of Israel, and will not forsake My people Israel.
And Solomon built the house and completed it.
And he built the walls of the house on the inside with ribs of cedar; from the floor of the house to the walls of the paneling he overlaid them on the inside with wood; and he overlaid the floor of the house with ribs of fir.
And he built twenty cubits from the flanks of the house with ribs of cedar, from the floor to the walls; and he built them for it on the inside for an oracle, for the holy of holies.
And the house, that is the temple before it, was forty in cubits.
And there was cedar for the interior of the house, the carving of gourds and flowers opening··up; all was cedar; no stone was seen.
And he prepared an oracle in the midst of the house within, to put there the ark of the covenant of Jehovah.
And before the oracle twenty cubits the length and twenty cubits the breadth, and twenty cubits its height; and he overlaid it with gold closed··in; and he overlaid the altar with cedar.
And Solomon overlaid the house on the interior with gold closing· it ·in; and he put· chains of gold ·across before the oracle; and he overlaid it with gold.
And all the house he overlaid with gold, until all the house was finished; and all the altar which was by the oracle he overlaid with gold.
And he made, in the oracle, two cherubim of the wood of oil, ten cubits its height.
And five cubits was the one wing of the cherub, and five cubits the second wing of the cherub; ten cubits from the ends of its wings to the ends of its wings.
And the second cherub was ten cubits; one measure and one proportion for the two cherubim.
The height of the one cherub was ten cubits, and so was the second cherub.
And he put the cherubim in the midst of the inner house; and the wings of the cherubim were spread, and the wing of the one touched the wall, and the wing of the second cherub touched the second wall; and their wings touched wing to wing in the midst of the house.
And he overlaid the cherubim with gold.
And all the walls of the house surrounding he carved with engravings of carvings of cherubim and palm··trees and flowers opening··up, on the interior and exterior.
And the floor of the house he overlaid with gold on the interior and exterior.
And for the entrance of the oracle he made doors of the wood of oil; the column of the posts was a fifth.
And the two doors were of the wood of oil; and he carved upon them carvings of cherubim, and palm··trees, and flowers opening··up, and overlaid them with gold; and he put··down gold upon the cherubim and upon the palm··trees.
And thus he made for the entrance of the temple, posts of the wood of oil of a fourth.
And the two doors of fir wood, the two ribs of the one door were folding, and the two hangings of the second door were folding.
And he carved cherubim and palm··trees and flowers opening··up, and he overlaid with gold, directly upon the things portrayed.
And he built the inner court, with three rows of hewn stone, and a row of cut· cedar ·beams.
In the fourth year was the house of Jehovah founded, in the month Ziv.
And in the eleventh year, in the month Bul, it is the eighth month, he completed the house as to all its things, and as to all its judgment. And they built it in seven years.
