Isaiah 11

And there shall come··out a Shaft from the trunk of Jesse, and a Stem from his roots shall become··fruitful.
And the spirit of Jehovah shall rest on Him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of Jehovah;
and to cause Him to breathe··in··the· sweet1 ·smell of the fear of Jehovah; He shall not judge according to the sight of His eyes, nor shall He reprove according to the hearing of His ears;
but with justice shall He judge the poor, and with uprightness shall He reprove the meek of the earth; and He shall smite the earth with the rod of His mouth, and with the spirit of His lips shall He put· the wicked ·to··death.
And justice shall be the girdle of His loins, and faithfulness the girdle of His hips.
And a wolf shall sojourn with a lamb, and a leopard shall lie··down with a kid, and a calf and a young··lion and a fatling together; and a little lad shall direct them.
And the cow and the bear shall pasture; together shall what is born of them lie··down; and the lion shall eat straw as the cattle.
And the nursing infant shall play2 upon the hole of the adder; and upon the den of the basilisk shall the weaned child thrust his hand.
They shall not do··evil nor destroy in all the mountain of My holiness; for the earth shall··be··full of the knowledge of Jehovah, as the waters cover the sea.
And it shall be in that day that the Root of Jesse shall stand for a standard to the peoples; to Him shall the nations inquire; and His rest shall be glory.
And it shall be in that day, that the Lord shall again a second time with His hand buy what is left of His people, who are··left from Assyria, and from Egypt, and from Pathros, and from Cush, and from Elam, and from Shinar, and from Hamath, and from the islands of the sea.
And He shall lift a standard to the nations; and He shall gather the outcasts of Israel, and the scattered of Judah shall He bring··together from the four wings of the earth.
And the jealousy of Ephraim shall turn··aside, and the adversaries of Judah shall be cut··off; Ephraim shall not be··jealous of Judah, and Judah shall not be··an··adversary to Ephraim.
But they shall fly upon the shoulder of the Philistines toward the sea; together they shall prey··on the sons of the east; on Edom and Moab they shall put··forth their hand; and the sons of Ammon shall be in··obedience··to them.
And Jehovah shall doom the tongue of the sea of Egypt; and He shall wave His hand over the river with His vehement wind, and He shall smite it into seven brooks, and make· for them ·a··way to go with shoes on.
And there shall be a highway for him who is left of His people, who shall be left from Assyria, as it was to Israel, in the day of his going··up from the land of Egypt.
