Psalms 20

1 To the victor; a psalm of◦ David.
May Jehovah answer thee in the day of adversity;May the name of the God of Jacob set· thee ·on·​·high;
2 He will send thy help from the sanctuary,And from Zion He will sustain◦ thee;
3 He will remember all thy gift·​·offerings,And thy burnt·​·offerings He will make·​·fat. Selah.
4 He will give to thee according·​·to thy heart,And all thy counsel He will fulfill.
5 We will sing·​·aloud in thy salvation,And in the name of our God we will set·​·up· our ·banner;Jehovah will fulfill all that· thou dost ·ask.
6 Now I know that Jehovah saves His anointed;He will answer him from the heavens of His holinessWith the mighty·​·acts of the salvation of His right·​·hand.
7 These glory in chariots and those in horses;But we◦ glory in the name of Jehovah our God.
8 They◦ stoop·​·down and fall;But we◦ rise and stand upright.
9 Save me, O Jehovah;Let the King answer us in the day when we call.
