Psalms 43

1 Judge me, O God, and plead my plea with a nation that is not merciful; From the man of deceit and perversity deliver me.
2 For Thou art the God of my strength; why dost Thou cast· me ·off? Why do I go in··black at the subjugation by the enemy?
3 O send··out Thy light and Thy truth;Let them lead me;Let them bring· me ·in to the mountain of Thy holiness,And to Thy habitations.
4 And I will come to the altar of God, to God, the gladness of my rejoicing; And I will confess Thee with the harp, O God, my God.
5 What? Bowest· thyself ·down, O my soul? And what? Art· thou ·tumultuous upon me?Hope thou for God; for I shall still confess Him,The salvations of my faces1, and my God.

1For an explanation of “salvations of the faces,” see AE 412:27.
